Indeed it has been a lengthy and passionate journey for me from the days of reciting nursery rhymes to where I now pause to take both a look backwards and a look ahead. And I can only say with another of my favourite poets – that I have “miles to go, before I …..”

The year 1996 was a signpost in my professional career, for it was in a 3 hour solo performance of recitations – ‘Ek Sandhaye Eka Bratati' (Only Bratati on a lonely Eve) – that I rediscovered myself in the light of a unique ‘total acceptability' as a performer. It is with utmost humbleness that I accept all such honours.

I have tried along with to widen my horizon of activities through the national television as a newscaster, and as a regular anchor for some exaultedprogrammes earlier for HMV-FM and now Radio Snap of RPG Netcom Network. I am also fond of writing frequently for leading Bengali Periodicals.
